Dr. rer. pol. TENG Faxin currently is Associate Professor with the School of Economics and Management at Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST) in Guangxi Province, Peoples Republic of China. The focus of his research and teaching is on International Economics (Europe/China), International Finance and Macroeconomics.
He earned his Bachelor in international trade at Shandong University of Technology, China. With a strong footprint in Germany (2002 - 2019) and being fluent in German he finished his diploma in international economics 2008 at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany. In his dissertation in international finance at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, he focused on the internationalization of the Chinese Renminbi (RMB) and the Chinese way to reserve currency. As associate researcher at Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Germany, he studied the effect of Beijing Consensus on Africa.
